There's a New Way to Make Good Money showing your Friends How to Have Fun in Sports.

If you haven't noticed, the daily fantasy sports market has exploded over the past year.  In fact, it grew so fast that Attorneys General and Legislature have jumped into the industry to determine whether daily fantasy is legal on the state level.  One reason is, if there are billions of dollars being spent...it appears the government wants their piece of the action.

There are over 2 million players on the major sites, and projections for up to 20 million users were made prior to the legal concerns.

What this has done is slow down the industry.  This in turn gives you an opportunity to earn referral income by bringing traffic to the sites.

One of the largest site operators offers is DraftKings, and they offer up to 35% commission on players you refer to the site. Commission rate pays out from 20% up to 35% depending on how many people you bring to the site, and how often they play.  Commissions are paid on gross margin of entry fees.  Example: Site generally charges around a 10+ % of entry fee for providing the tournaments.. If a referral plays $10 per night the site grosses $1, and you get .20-.35 cents.

Belive it, the big time players put in thousands a night. If you land a shark who plays 1000 per night, you'll make approximately $30 per night doing nothing. It really adds up.

One of the easiest ways to get started is to create an accountt, and then create your own tournament where you can challenge your friends to a football, baseball, basketball, golf, nascar, or soccer fantasy tournament..  You could sign up 10,20, or even 100 in one night. Do this, and you're off and running, and your friends will have fun!

Build Traffic Through Links

Face it. You're not going to make any money online if people don't visit your site. So how do you go about getting traffic? You have to build popularity with the search engines so people can find links to your site when they do searches through search engines such Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.

Obviously content is king. In other words, if you write about Red Barns in Idaho, your content will be picked up by the Search Engines and people can find your content if they search "Red Barns in Idaho". Of course there are 250,000 links found on Google for this topic, so you've got to get your link to be listed before the other 249,999 links.

One way to increase your search engine popularity is by having your links added to other sites,, especially the popular ones. These links are know as backlinks. Here are a few ways to accomplish this.

1. Submit Article to Directories: Find online article directories (see list on this blog) and submit your article information.

2. Comment on other blogs and websites: When you post a comment on a popular website, chances are many people will read your comment and some may potentially click through to your blog/website. This type of adding links isn't as important to the search engines, but it will bring traffic. Be careful, if you go to a blog or forum just to post links you will get banned from the site.  Be engaging, and throw in a link on occasion.

3. Trade links: Find websites or blogs who may be willing to add a link to your site on their site in return for you adding a link to their site on your site. Search engines count links into your site in their rating of the popularity of your site. Don't expect everyone to add your links; but you'll find they will be much more receptive if you help them promote their site through comments on sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, StumbleUpon, Digg,Tumbler, and many others.

These are just a few ideas on how to help bring traffic into your website or blog. It takes time and effort, but in the long run you'll find your front end efforts pay dividends in the future.
